On hot days, the guests of the 933-egge castle hotel Altmuhl River valley can find chilling at the bathing lake
St. Agathe near Riedenburg at the Altmuhl River (about 8 km away from the 933-egge castle hotel Altmuhl River valley).
The water surface measures about 5 hectars. Belonging to the facility, there is also a
large sunbathing area. Parking lots are available as well. On cooler days, you can use the
indoor swimming pool in Riedenburg.
The swimming pool
Keldorado in Kelheim at
the Altmuhl River and the Danube River (about 23 km away from the castle hotel) offers
special bathting fun. This swimming pool contains an outdoor and indoor area. Belonging to
the bathing facilities, there are a large light-flooded swimming hall with swimmer's pool
and nonswimmer's pool, a hot pool inside and outside and a children's pool in which baby
swimming is possible as well.
The main attraction of the swimming hall is the 86-meters long water slide. A Finnish sauna with about 20 seats and a steambath with about 15 seats
invite for relaxation and well-being. A tanning booth with numerous
single cabins is available, too.
Belonging to the outdoor swimming pool, there is a swimmer's pool, a nonswimmer's
pool, a jumping pool with 1-meter-, 3-meters-, and 5-meters-diving boards and a paddling
pool. In addition to a sunbathing area, there is, among others, a children's playground
and a volleyball field.
A restaurant, a terrace-beergarden and a bikini-bar take care of your physical well-being.

About 38 km away from the 933-egge castle hotel Altmuhl River valley, you can find many
wellness possibilities. In the thermal-brimstone-mooor-healing bath
"Kaiser-Therme" (Ceasar's thermae) in Bad Abbach in the natural park Altmuhl
River valley, you can relax at about 28 to 36° C water temperature. The water surface has
a size of about 600 sqm.
The therm owns a sauna area with Finnish sauna
90° C, Sanarium, 60°C, open-air sauna 100° C, roman steambath 55° C, whirlpools 34°C
and a fresh-air area.
